Ivory Coast Crisis: President Ouattara declares candidacy for 3rd term

The President Alassane Ouattara decided to run for office again after his highly  controversial eligibility to the head of the Ivorian government.

After the surprising death of his designated successor and Prime minister Amadou Gon Coulibally, President Ouattara declared during the 60th independence anniversary of the country that he will finally stand again during the next coming election in October 2020.

The opposition is actually reacting against Ouattaras’s standing they judge illegal according to the Constitution that stipulates President should run for only 2 terms.

The population and the youths are massively in the streets demonstrating against the actual situation and position of the President Ouattaras.
