Abubacarr Camara a 50 year old man and a resident of Old Yundum, Kombo North District, West Coast Region has on Friday the 3rd of may been pronounced death after been beaten by a group of people who accused him of stealing fuel.
According to an undisclosed source, the group of Mobs tied his hands and legs and he was seriously beaten.This incident happened at Paradise Estate in Old Yundum.

“While on my way to work I saw the mobs with hands and legs tied together and the mobsters were beating him bitterly,” said the witness. He stated that the victim was screaming demanding that he should be taken to the hospital. Adding that the mobsters then decided to take the victim to a nearby hospital as requested and upon arrival at the Coastal Road hospital the nurses on duty further referred them to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital and the victim finally died on the way.

The witness further revealed that the victim vehemently stressed to the mobs that he was not a thief and it was not his intention to steal their fuel, stressing that he was left with no option because he left his wife and children at home to feed and that was what landed him into stealing.

The wife of the Deceased said “there is nothing that I can explain, adding that I was just at home and that was when I received the news about my husband’s death” stressing that her husband was the breadwinner of the family. She however, demands justice from the relevant authorities.
